Parts per Thousand Submission Contest & Prize Giveaway Rules

Overview: These are the official rules that apply to all contests or prize giveaways (collectively, “Promotions”) run by Parts Per Thousand  (also “ppt” or “(ppt)”) as seen on website, social media channels, and email communications. Parts Per Thousand is a research agency with a community hub for consumers, fragrance creators, and fragrance brands interested in designer, niche, and independent fragrance products. Parts Per Thousand conducts Promotions to encourage those who follow on social media or who visit the website (www.parts-per-thousand.com) to compose in-depth, high-quality, literary-style product reviews for the purpose of celebrating the artistry in fragrance. By submitting an entry, entrants grant Parts Per Thousand a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, assess, and display the submission for research and promotional purposes. This may include, but is not limited to, showcasing selected submissions on our website, social media channels, or in other marketing materials, and referencing submissions in part or totality in research conducted by Parts Per Thousand.  Parts Per Thousand is committed to protecting the privacy of its entrants. The personal information of address, and email/username collected during the Promotion will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Promotion and will not be shared with third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law.

How to Enter:  You may enter the prize giveaway by submitting an entry (referred to as “submission”) on the Parts per Thousand website, www.parts-per-thousand.com. No purchase, donation, or payment is necessary to enter or win. A purchase, donation, or payment will not increase your chances of winning. All submissions must be received by 11:59 PM EDT on the specified end date of the Promotion to be eligible for consideration. Further variables for submission validity are specified on the same webpage as the submission page. These variables include topics to include, minimum word length, pictures, language, or any other factors pertaining to the contest’s specifications. 

Promotion Period and Eligibility: The Promotion period is announced in advance of the applicable Promotion. Entries must be received by the announced deadline to be eligible. Unless otherwise stated, Promotions are open to all persons who are 18 or older at the time of entry One entry per person and per household. Prizes will only be shipped within the continental United States. If a winner resides outside the continental United States, they will receive a cash substitute in lieu of the prize. The substitute amount will reflect the size of the Promotion prize. $10 USD will be awarded if the prize corresponds to our BRONZE prize list,  $20 USD if the prize corresponds to our SILVER prize list, and $30 USD if the prize corresponds to our GOLD prize list. No cash prize will exceed $60 USD unless otherwise stated.

Prize(s): A detailed description of the prize(s), including estimated retail value, restrictions, and conditions will be provided at the time the Promotion is announced. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be substituted or redeemed for cash. Winners are responsible for all applicable local, state, or federal taxes, fees, and expenses associated with accepting or using the prize(s). Prizes will only be shipped within the continental United States. Winner Selection and Notification: The method and timing of winner selection and notification will vary for each Promotion. For Promotions that require submissions, the staff at Parts per Thousand will undertake the responsibility of winner selection. Evaluation will primarily hinge on two criteria: (1) the overall quality of the writing presented in the submission and (2) thematic alignment with the core subject or purpose of the specific Promotion. This ensures that winners are chosen not only for their skill in composition but also for how well their work resonates with the intended spirit and requirements of the promotional event. Unless otherwise stated, Promotions are sponsored by Parts Per Thousand and no other organization or company. There is no involvement or ownership of the Promotions to any social media company, such as Instagram, Tiktok, Reddit, YouTube, or Facebook. 

Right to Make Changes: Parts Per Thousand reserves the unequivocal right to amend, modify, or otherwise alter these rules governing the Promotion at any point in time, and for any reason deemed necessary by the organization. Furthermore, Parts Per Thousand also retains the absolute right to terminate the Promotion entirely, without prior notice, should circumstances necessitate such an action. Any such amendment, modification, alteration, or termination will become effective immediately upon its announcement, whether through direct communication, publication on official channels, or any other method deemed appropriate for disseminating information regarding the Promotion. Participants are encouraged to regularly review the official rules to stay informed of any potential changes.
